Increasing SMEs’ access to lucrative international markets by eliminating technical barriers to trade and allowing for improved value and growth of domestic products and services is provided through the project to ensure the provision of sustainable and internationally recognized metrological services.
Training, internships, mentoring and coaching, as well as procuring equipment and services, developing visibility and communications materials and events are available to advance the economic competitiveness of SMEs in Armenia․
SMEs in Armenia are provided with awareness meetings and inclusive discussions on how to reduce the time and resources required for implementing conformity assessment activities for the business environment and increase the level of export of domestic products to the EU and third countries. Supporting Armenia’s National Accreditation Body (ARMNAB) in fulfilling conditions for associate membership in the European co-operation for Accreditation will foster the competitiveness of local products and services.
SMEs and firm-level productivity is supported through functional governance analysis, mapping, and evaluation of the existing policy framework within the project framework. Promoting SMEs, innovation, exports, and integration into GVCs, facilitating trade, customs, and logistics will benefit SMEs indirectly.
