The EU4Business SMEDA project (Support to SME development in Armenia) has announced a Call for Proposals for action grants to support private sector organisations (BMOs and BSOs).
The deadline for the submission of applications is 10 November, 2017,16:00.
The aim of the this call is to support Private Sector Organisations (business associations and other business member organisations) to:
- Improve their management capacity in providing better services to their members/companies, increasing their membership and generating income in order to sustain their operations.
- Participate effectively in public-private dialogue (PPD) platforms (policy advocacy and lobbying activities) aiming at improving business and investment climate.
Proposals must contain activities aimed at:
- Strengthening the capacities of business membership organisations (provide more and better services to members/companies; activities to extend their membership; establishment of sector specific working groups; creating or upgrading existing pro bono legal advices/counsels for SME and entrepreneurs);
- Participating in PPD platforms (preparation to present private sector needs; evidence-based policy advocacy).
The total maximum budget for the call is €200,000. The maximum amount per proposal is €100,000.
Proposals should be submitted in hard copies to the SMEDA office (Proshyan 12, Yerevan) by November 10, 2017,16:00.

The EU4Business SMEDA project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for SMEs in Armenia. It aims to strengthen the private sector, support SME coordination mechanisms, and foster links between research institutions and the private sector, as well as providing access to finance for SMEs.
